Tempo Change
OUR FOUNDER
Growing up, I was lucky enough to have parents that could afford music lessons. I studied at Suzuki School of Music and Berklee College of Music Summer Programs. After seeing how many instruments are purchased and used for only a short time and knowing how many children are not able to afford to take lessons or rent or purchase an instrument, I decided to try to alleviate these issues by collecting gently used instruments and giving them to children and adolescents who would give them new life. I also set up a donation page to provide young children music lessons who may not otherwise be able to afford it. I started the fund by donating all of the money I made busking during the summer months. Music has played an important role in my life, and I would love to be able to spread that joy to a child who may not otherwise have the opportunity to play or sing. Tempo Change promotes my interests in sustainability and accessibility in the musical education community.
